Senior Manager, Chief of Staff (12 Month Contract)

This role is for a Senior Manager, Chief of Staff within Capital One Canada's Card division. The primary focus is on driving operational excellence, supporting strategic planning, managing executive communications, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. The role requires strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to support senior leadership and drive initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. It is a 12-month contract position.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner closely with the Head, Office of the President and the senior leadership team to drive excellence across the organization by solving challenges, optimizing workflows, and implementing tools to improve transparency, consistency, and scalability
  2. Play an outsized role in supporting growth; partnering closely to support specific Senior Leadership Team members and associated strategic executive communication
  3. Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand processes and drive results, ensuring proactive, timely, consistent and effective communication between departments
  4. Support strategic planning across Canada, inclusive of reporting and facilitating improvements in strategy development
  5. Own timely execution of horizontal routines and reporting deliverables related to strategic and operational priorities

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of work experience in business ownership, communications, change management, delivery, or chief-of-staff functions
  • 3+ years of experience managing executive-level stakeholders across different business functions
  • 2+ years of experience involving organizational design, staffing, budgets, talent, and/or culture strategy

Nice to have

  • 10+ years of work experience in strategy, organizational operations, change management, project / process / program management, or chief-of-staff functions
  • 5+ years of experience managing executive-level stakeholders across different business functions
  • 4+ years of experience involving organizational design, staffing, budgets, talent, and/or culture strategy
  • 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in Tech, Product, Design, and/or Data
  • Experience owning end-to-end communications strategic planning
