What you'd actually do

  1. Completing transactional testing to assess the appropriateness of client selection, quality of underwriting, effectiveness of borrower monitoring and accuracy of risk ratings
  2. Analyzing portfolio composition to identify trends and risks and provide an opinion on portfolio quality
  3. Participating in or leading Targeted Reviews to assess key risks in a given portfolio or across portfolios
  4. Identifying gaps in credit policy, credit processes, and credit risk rating models
  5. Identifying key and emerging risks

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with traditional cash flow and leveraged lending
  • At least 8 years of direct transactional credit experience (underwriting, workout, risk management, credit review or regulatory)

Nice to have

  • Master's degree
  • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) OR Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Ability to support conclusions through fact-based analysis and ability to influence senior leaders
