Autodesk is seeking a Senior Manager of Content Strategy to lead content strategy, learning experience, and conversational design for their agentic AI initiative within the AEC domain. This role involves shaping how content helps customers navigate complex workflows, understand product value, and complete tasks using digital experiences and AI-powered interactions. The manager will define the content strategy direction for the agentic experience, including personality, tone, voice, user journeys, and establish scalable practices and evaluation methods. They will manage a team of content strategists, learning experience designers, and conversation designers, partnering closely with Design, Product, Engineering, and Research to ensure cohesive and human-centered content experiences. The role emphasizes using AI internally to improve operations and building trusted AI capabilities for customers to automate work and accelerate creativity.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage a new team, including content strategists, learning experience designers, and conversation designers, to set and execute the content strategy for the AI-powered, agentic experiences for customers across interconnected products
  2. Lead, coach, inspire, and grow the new team, fostering a tight-knit culture, high standards, innovation, experimentation, and strong collaboration
  3. Define a clear vision for how content meets user needs, supports their business goals, reduces friction, and improves collaboration, comprehension, confidence, and task success
  4. Build and evolve scalable frameworks, standards, evaluation methods, and governance for UX content, conversation design, terminology, voice, tone, and content quality
  5. Partner closely with Design, Product, Engineering, Research, Analytics, and Operations to ensure content is integrated early and effectively into the product development process

Skills

Required

  • 12+ years of experience in content strategy, UX writing, content design, conversation design, or related experience design disciplines
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading and developing high-performing content strategy teams
  • Demonstrated experience designing or leading agentic and conversational experiences, including AI-assisted, chatbot, assistant, or guided interaction models
  • Proficiency with AI tools and workflows, and sound judgment in applying them to content creation, iteration, and governance
  • Proven experience shaping content strategy for complex product ecosystems, digital experiences, or enterprise software environments
  • Strong expertise in content design principles, information clarity, content systems, and customer-centered writing for product experiences
  • Track record of influencing cross-functional partners and driving alignment across Design, Product, Engineering, and Research
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to connect content decisions across end-to-end journeys, platforms, and customer touchpoints
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present strategy, rationale, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Experience using research, metrics, and qualitative insights to evaluate content effectiveness and improve customer outcomes
  • Commitment to accessibility, inclusive language, and building trusted customer experiences
