What you'd actually do

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams focused in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, data engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Proven experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native, containerized infrastructure that supports data products and services
  • Strong expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, identity and access management, and security
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes, preferably in Azure or AWS Kubernetes Service or similar environments
  • Strong knowledge of systems design, distributed systems, networking, databases, and modern data platform technologies
  • Experience implementing and managing infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives focused on availability, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams, including engineering, platform, security, and product stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and align teams around shared priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage competing priorities across distributed teams
