Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering

Crusoe · Data AI · Tulsa, OK - US · Manufacturing (MFG)

This role is for a Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering at Crusoe, an AI infrastructure company. The manager will lead a team responsible for the electrical architecture of modular data centers and power distribution systems, overseeing the entire electrical engineering lifecycle from design to production release. Responsibilities include team leadership, resource allocation, technical governance, compliance, design standards, workflow optimization, value engineering, and budget management. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of experience in electrical design, and 3-5 years in a management role. While the company is in the AI infrastructure space, the role itself is focused on electrical engineering and not directly on AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Directly manage a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers. Lead regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and career development planning to foster a culture of technical rigor and innovation.
  2. Manage the engineering queue and assign personnel to projects based on expertise and production deadlines, ensuring the manufacturing facility is never bottlenecked.
  3. Lead high-level technical design reviews, serving as the final authority on complex load calculations, project design requirements, control system designs, and Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) analysis.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for UL/NFPA/NEC regulatory bodies, ensuring all product lines (UL 508A, UL 891) maintain their certifications.
  5. Establish and enforce "The Crusoe Standard" for electrical documentation, including drawing standardization , BOM accuracy, and wiring methodologies.
