Netflix is seeking a Senior Manager, Franchise Planning for their Kids & Family division. This role focuses on developing long-term strategies and roadmaps for key animated and kids & family brands across all fan touchpoints, including content, marketing, consumer products, publishing, games, and live experiences. The manager will drive franchise integrity, nurture IP extensions, identify key moments, collaborate with creators and partners, and push for innovation in franchise commercialization. The role requires deep experience in animation/kids & family content and a strong understanding of franchise building.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define Long-Term Franchise Vision. Develop a vision and 5+ year strategy across all potential lines of business
  2. Drive Cross Functional Franchise Strategy. Act as a thought partner for cross-functional leaders (e.g. content, title marketing leads, consumer products, live experiences, publishing, games) on strategy, consumer insights, & go-to-market execution. Making recommendations for the franchise roadmap, maximizing alignment across content, merchandise, publishing, experiences, games, marketing, social media, and other potential opportunities.
  3. Drive Franchise Integrity. Define and maintain franchise integrity across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency in world-building, character representation, tone, and values. Partner with marketing to provide context and guidelines to cross-functional teams to ensure that every extension feels authentic and on-brand.
  4. Develop & Nurture IP Extensions. Support, guide, and ideate new IP, project ideas and opportunities (e.g. books, games, marketing ideas, partnerships, etc.)
  5. Make Meaningful Franchise Moments. Identify key beats and catalyze concepts beyond title launch to form an always-on calendar approach that drives strategic priorities and deepens fan engagement
