Senior Manager, Government Affairs role based in Copenhagen, focused on Visa's Government Affairs in the Nordic and Baltic region, and engagement with the European Union. The role supports Visa's wider Government affairs strategy, executive engagement, strategic opportunities with national Governments, and ensuring policy frameworks are conducive to a fair, competitive operating environment for Visa's business. It involves executing engagement strategies, identifying strategic opportunities to influence regulatory setup in digital payments, delivering integrated campaigns, and fostering client engagement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute effective short/medium/long term Government & Regulatory engagement strategies to position Visa as trusted partner, including stakeholder maps of key decisionmakers, to use for executive engagement as required.
  2. Identify, highlight and deliver strategic engagement opportunities to ensure Visa can influence the regulatory set up in digital payments and related policies.
  3. Deliver integrated strategies allowing broad engagement and promotion of Visa’s thought leadership through a range of channels.
  4. Deliver systematic, documented and effective engagement plans for top clients and strategic merchants to create deep relationships that matter.

Skills

Required

  • Demonstrable experience in relevant corporate position, including primarily in-house team/regulatory/ government agency, prominent consultancy.
  • Proven strategic advocacy skills.
  • Good inter-personal skills and stakeholder management experience
  • Strong digital services and/or technology interest
  • Excellent written and spoken communication including presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to act independently and flexibly within a multi-disciplinary matrixed team.

Nice to have

  • knowledge of the payment industry is a plus.
  • A relevant degree in Politics, Economics or Law is desirable, but not essential.
