This role is for a Senior Manager, HR Compliance in the Americas region, responsible for developing, refining, and operationalizing a comprehensive compliance framework and strategy. It involves managing a team member focused on immigration and global mobility, partnering with regional and global HR functions, and ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role also includes leading audits, risk assessments, developing training programs, and collaborating with Legal and Employee Relations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the continued development, refinement, and execution of a scalable HR compliance framework across the Americas (policy, training, audits, and programs), including a roadmap for future capabilities
  2. Build and embed a culture of compliance and best practices across the People Team and broader organization
  3. Develop and implement programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies; ensure in-region compliance of HR policies, processes, and programs
  4. Own and oversee immigration and global mobility programs for the Americas through direct management of a dedicated team member, ensuring regulatory compliance, effective vendor partnership, and alignment with business and talent needs
  5. Partner with Employee Relations and HR leadership to support compliant handling of employee matters, providing guidance, frameworks, and risk-based input (without direct ownership of ER processes)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in HR compliance, employment law, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience applying U.S. employment law across multiple states
  • 3+ years of experience building and implementing HR compliance programs (policies, audits, training)
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Employee Relations, and/or Risk/Compliance functions
  • Experience supporting audits, including controls, documentation, and remediation
  • Experience delivering compliance training to HR and/or managers
  • Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-paced, or high-growth environments
  • Experience working in multi-state or complex organizational environments

  • Master’s degree or JD
  • Experience supporting multi-country HR compliance programs (Americas or global)
  • Experience overseeing or partnering on immigration and global mobility programs
  • Experience working in a public company or SOX-regulated environment
  • Experience in the technology industry or other high-growth environments
