Senior Manager, New Verticals - in Store Intelligence Strategy & Operations

This role is for a Senior Manager to lead the strategy and operations of DoorDash's In Store Intelligence AI platform. The platform collects in-store data, uses a multi-modal ML stack including computer vision, and aims to improve inventory accuracy, Dasher pick time, and customer selection across Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. The role involves defining strategy, building roadmaps, partnering with product, engineering, and ML teams, and scaling the platform across thousands of stores.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.
  2. Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
  3. Analyze. **You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data.
  4. Lead and collaborate. **You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including product, engineering, ML, design, and operations, and lead your own pod to build this new line of business for DoorDash.
  5. Scale. Take a nascent platform to the majority of DoorDash's non-restaurant GMV — managing the complexity of thousands of stores, multiple data sources, and a multi-modal ML stack.
