Senior Manager, Procurement role at RTX, a defense company, requiring experience in managing procurement activities for classified programs, including sourcing, negotiation, PO management, and supplier interaction. What you'd actually do

  1. Manage procurement activities in support of classified programs, including sourcing, negotiating, Prepare POs and PO documentation in accordance with company directives, prime contract flow downs and company work instructions. Post-award management of POs to be handled in accordance with company directives and work instructions.
  2. Lead Supplier interaction and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams to manage a variety of procurements including but not limited to build-to-print, performance specifications, Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs), with medium/high complexity.
  3. Prepare and execute various types of agreements, such as: PIAs, Long Term Agreements, Bailment, etc.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and finance, to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies, FAR/DFARS regulations, and customer requirements in all purchasing activities.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree and 8 years of experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS and ITAR compliance regulations
  • Active U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret required)

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Expertise in processing paper purchase orders and procurement systems
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Prior experience with multiple subcontract types
  • Experience with reading and understanding drawings, specifications and other engineering documents
  • Experience with proposals from prospective suppliers and analyze cost/price, technical capability, and financial viability
  • Experience working in Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) programs
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM or PMP
  • Familiarity with RTX systems and processes
