Senior Manager – Product Development Engineering, Silicon Photonics

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Santa Clara, CA

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Development Engineering to lead a team responsible for bringing next-generation silicon photonics technologies from validation through manufacturing ramp and high-volume production. This role involves leading product development engineers, driving product development strategy, developing validation methodologies, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production. The role requires expertise in silicon photonics devices, optical components, analog/mixed-signal circuit behavior, high-speed optical testing, and statistical data analysis.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and guide a group of product development engineers responsible for validation, characterization, and production ramp of silicon photonics devices and optical transceiver products.
  2. Drive product development strategy from early silicon validation through qualification and high-volume manufacturing.
  3. Develop and implement validation methodologies and test strategies for new photonic and mixed-signal silicon builds.
  4. Partner closely with Mixed-Signal Build, Test Engineering, Reliability, Packaging and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
  5. Coordinate optical, electro-optical, and mixed-signal characterization of new photonic integrated circuit (PIC) designs.
