We are seeking a multifaceted and motivated colleague to lead, drive and shape the accelerated implementation of digital and automated lab for Synthetics to prepare for new product introductions. Position will be based in Latina.
This role is a critical investment in strengthening QC lab readiness for New Product Introductions, by implementing digital and automated solutions and improved data management across Development, Quality (QC/QA), Manufacturing (MSAT) and Regulatory with the aim to test faster and reduce cycle times.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure early involvement with the required AD teams to increase automation** and digital readiness of the QC lab**
Build and own the digital transformation strategy for new products, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic LRFP input and develop automation roadmaps for NPI’s linked to digitalization and automation needs of lab test execution
Lead and govern end-to-end digital initiatives (automation, data capture, LIMS/eLIMS integration, digital setup) to deliver measurable value and a paperless and automated lab reality.
Align data structures and lab systems to improve data accessibility, compliance, and end-to-end data connectivity, drive innovation projects with clear governance.
Partner with global and local stakeholders to harmonize processes, standardize practices, and implement lean, scalable QC operations.
Manage complex projects, change management, training, and communications to maximize adoption and benefit realization.
Monitor benefits realization, ROI, KPIs, and data-driven insights; adapt strategy as needed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on Physical / Life Science, IT focus preferred. Advanced degree preferred
Experience and Skills
Required
- 8+ years of related experience including at least one of the following:
- Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Analytical Testing, or IT, including experience working in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry.
- Previous Quality or Lab Systems experience helpful
- Business oriented, independent, and driven with demonstrated ability in a regulated medical industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, or Diagnostics)
- Solid understanding inside a quality organization, across various roles (e.g., quality operations, quality control, quality systems, etc.) and
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulations
- Ability to build and nurture positive relationships with business partners with excellent negotiation, partnering and influencing skills
- Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills as well as the ability to meet due dates using an open, collaborative, interactive leadership style
- Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities, ability to define a vision for the future required to translate vision to strategy, and strategy to execution
- Attention to detail and proven problem solving, logical thinking and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to independently manage multiple issues, prioritize and bring up to management as vital using project management tools
- Demonstrate knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and business case calculation.
- Proficient in English
Preferred
- Proven experience directly and/or indirectly leading a group of professionals to achieve business objectives
- Direct working knowledge of the business environment outside of the quality organization (e.g., manufacturing, product / process development, technical services / engineering, customer service, etc.)
- Skills in laboratory management system (eLIMS) and master data
- Skills in lab automation
- Process Excellence (6-Sigma) certification is preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€70 700,00 - €122 015,00
