Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition to partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Pricing teams. This role involves providing guidance on customer contract negotiations and performing contract reviews for revenue recognition compliance, ensuring adherence to ASC 606 for a SaaS business model. The candidate will also lead training on revenue recognition policies and collaborate with external auditors and internal teams to maintain SOX compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, and Legal during contract negotiations and provide suggestions and guidance in order to ensure proper revenue recognition
  2. Review complex revenue contracts for compliance with US GAAP and determine the appropriate accounting treatment
  3. Establish standard contract structures for both existing & new products and work cross-functionally to maintain a scalable quote-to-cash process
  4. Lead training on revenue recognition rules, policies and practices within the Company, and in particular within the Sales organization
  5. Engage with external auditors and understand/respond to the changes in the audit approach

  • 7+ years relevant revenue recognition experience
