Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Salesforce Salesforce · Enterprise · Hyderabad, India

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead their Workspace Engineering team in Hyderabad. This role focuses on driving AI-first development practices, integrating AI models into developer workflows, and managing a team of engineers to build next-generation developer tools and platforms, including agentic developer workspaces. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and AI-native tools, and experience managing distributed teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Champion and operationalize AI-driven development practices across the team: Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Prizm rules, and MCP-powered agentic workflows
  2. Partner with Product owners to define and drive the roadmap for Salesforce Workspaces, Remote Build Execution, FTC Web, and Agentic Workspaces — balancing FY27 commitments with long-term platform evolution
  3. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 12+ engineers in Hyderabad with full end-to-end ownership
  4. Champion robust observability across services — monitoring, logging, performance metrics, and blameless incident response
  5. Establish rigorous standards for validating and auditing AI-generated code, architecture, and documentation
