Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team designing, delivering, and scaling an Identity Platform that powers customer onboarding, compliance, and secure product experiences across Ripple's suite. The role involves platform engineering, vendor integration, and cross-product orchestration in a regulated global business environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to the Identity Platform — defining its culture, standards, and ways of working from day one.
  2. Partner with Product, Compliance, and other engineering teams to deliver capabilities that power customer onboarding and compliance workflows across Ripple’s products.
  3. Integrate with world-class vendors like Persona for KYC/KYB, while owning the orchestration, persistence, and service layers that connect them to Ripple’s core systems.
  4. Lead the design and governance of a core identity data model, decoupled from legacy systems and built as a source-of-truth across Ripple.
  5. Build for global scale — enabling identity workflows that meet diverse regulatory requirements and operational needs across multiple geographies.

Skills

Required

  • Proven track record as a Senior Engineering Manager (or equivalent) leading platform or identity-focused teams delivering complex, distributed systems.
  • Domain expertise in identity, KYC/KYB, regtech, or compliance-heavy platforms — with hands-on delivery of critical identity capabilities.
  • Experience integrating major vendors into platform architectures while maintaining reliability, security, and compliance.
  • Strength in guiding teams through complex system migrations and legacy decoupling.
  • Skilled at aligning diverse team members — across engineering, product, compliance, and legal — into a coherent technical strategy.
  • Proven ability to deliver platforms with uncompromising reliability, auditability, and compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Experience building teams and capabilities that scale across multiple geographies and regulatory frameworks.
