Snowflake is seeking a Senior Manager for Solution Engineering in Paris to lead a team of Sales Engineers. The role involves understanding customer needs, strategizing sales cycles, providing demonstrations, supporting POCs, and closing business. The manager will build and run a team, partner with sales leadership, interpret complex problems, and collaborate with various internal teams. Responsibilities include leading sales engineers, achieving regional targets, guiding revenue leaders, interpreting problems, and managing the interview process. Requirements include 8+ years of pre-sales experience, industry expertise in DataScience, Data Warehousing, BI, Data Analytics, or Cloud Computing, and strong presentation skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and lead a team of sales engineers who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation and education experts
  2. Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota targets, our goals and ensure relationships are built
  3. Provide guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product obstacles/gaps and represent the team’s needs to executive staff
  4. Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions
  5. Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing and services

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales capacity
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience

Nice to have

  • Industry expertise within DataScience, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and/or Cloud Computing
  • Experience with SAAS or consumption-based business model
  • Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.
  • Ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems and Snowflake’s solutions
