Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations - Missionforce

Salesforce Salesforce · Enterprise · San Francisco, CA

This role is a Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations for Salesforce's Missionforce business. The individual will act as a thinking partner and execution arm for the Senior Director, tackling complex and ambiguous problems. Responsibilities include owning critical components of issues, building executive-ready content, developing cross-functional solutions, tracking business developments, and operating with increasing independence. The role requires 5-7 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy, with strong analytical and communication skills, and a high tolerance for ambiguity.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own pieces of the hardest problems. When the Senior Director is working a complex, cross-functional issue, you take ownership of critical components — running analysis, coordinating stakeholders, drafting materials, and driving follow-through
  2. Build executive-ready content. You translate messy, incomplete information into clear, structured slides and narratives that executives can quickly understand and act on
  3. Develop solutions across functional boundaries. You work across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Product, Legal, and other teams to drive progress on initiatives that don't fit neatly into anyone's existing mandate
  4. Stay current on the business. You proactively track what's happening across the organization — major deals, technical milestones, organizational changes — so you can spot connections and surface insights
  5. Operate with increasing independence. Early on, you'll work closely with the Senior Director. Over time, you'll take on problems end-to-end.
