Senior Manager, Material Program Manager (MPM) to support Production Assurance efforts within the Naval Standard Missile Systems Production area. Requires advanced knowledge of proposal activities, customer negotiation support, material requirements planning (MRP) process, subcontract management, and project management. Responsibilities include developing and leading material program strategies, participating in proposals, supporting supplier negotiations, financial management, and managing supplier relationships. The role also involves leading a small team and resolving issues within organizations and with suppliers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
  2. Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
  3. Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
  4. Customer Proposal support including generating Supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s) as well as labor basis of estimates (BOEs)
  5. Support supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives

Skills

Required

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant proposal and MPM experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

Nice to have

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skillset
  • Advanced Supply Chain Planning tool experience (i.e. SAP/PRISM, Kinaxis, MFT, ROMS, etc.)
  • Experience with proposals or material estimating
  • MPM Level 4 (or higher) Certification
  • EVMS Certification
