Senior Manager, Technical Revenue Accounting for Enterprise Sales at Canva. What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical revenue accounting guidance across B2C and B2B revenue streams, including new product launches, enterprise agreements, and evolving monetization models
  2. Review customer contracts and product offerings to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  3. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, and FP&A to assess revenue implications of new features, bundles, and go-to-market strategies
  4. Lead technical accounting research and document positions on complex revenue topics, including multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, and standalone selling price
  5. Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies and influence scalable processes and controls across the quote-to-cash lifecycle

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • deep technical expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606 (US GAAP)
  • experience with technical accounting research, policy development, and supporting new product or pricing initiatives
  • experience in a public company or SOX-compliant environment
  • SaaS or technology industry experience preferred
  • effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • ability to navigate ambiguity and drive practical solutions in a fast-paced environment
