What you'd actually do

  1. Plans, conducts and directs injection molding/equipment assignments for production support in areas of process capability, uptime, cycle time, yield and overall cost reduction.
  2. Takes lead role in troubleshooting / resolving equipment, systems, processes to optimize IMM performance to prevent product nonconformance.
  3. Prepares equipment, process, safety, and components specifications and conducts technical analysis of vendor proposals.
  4. Qualifies new equipment and performs vendor and site acceptance testing to meet project objectives.
  5. Provides training to engineers and technicians to operate, troubleshoot and maintain new and current equipment.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • Hands-on injection molding experience
  • Experience in regulated medical device manufacturing
  • Experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Experience with design controls
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 / FDA QSR
  • Experience integrating molding machines and downstream automation
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles
