Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing advanced military systems. This role focuses on manufacturing equipment engineering to ensure efficient and reliable production of defense products. The Senior Manufacturing Equipment Engineer will optimize production equipment, champion continuous improvement projects, resolve equipment issues, and support new product ramps. The role involves developing SCADA systems for real-time data monitoring and performing root cause analysis for equipment failures. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, 8+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment engineering/automation/reliability, expertise in PLCs/HMIs/industrial automation, and a strong understanding of robotics and motion control systems. Experience with vision systems is preferred. The role requires eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyze and optimize production equipment to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost effective means while driving to achieve world-class quality levels
  2. Champion continuous improvement projects to maximize yield, cycle time, and availability of equipment. Report metrics to upper management
  3. Work hand in hand with process engineering and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues, improve equipment reliability, and provide technical guidance
  4. Support operations to aggressively ramp newly launched products to full-scale production
  5. Develop Scada system to monitor, gather, and process real-time production data
