This role is for a Senior Marketing Manager at Amazon on AWS. The primary responsibility is to create compelling technical narratives and content that highlight how Amazon's internal businesses leverage AWS services, including AI and cloud technologies, for innovation and scale. The role involves working with engineering and business leaders to uncover and translate these stories for external audiences like developers and architects.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop compelling stories that translate complex technical implementations into clear business value propositions, inspiring customers to build with AWS
  2. Collaborate with AWS Marketing Integrated Demand Plans (AI, Data, Modernization, Security, Connect) to deliver stories that best align to their priorities and themes
  3. Deliver compelling content at 3P flagship and 1P events (e.g., NAB, Cannes, AWS Summits, re:Invent) through keynote presentations, sessions, and innovative activations
  4. Partner with the Amazon on AWS v-team to build mechanisms driving alignment on approach, execution, and key messages
  5. Drive awareness and preference for AWS that delivers influenced opportunities and pipeline through marketing activities across EBCs, events, digital, and field channels

Skills

Required

  • Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects
  • Experience working cross-functionally across several teams both technical and non-technical
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, or technical marketing roles
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives
  • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture concepts

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing
  • Experience in B2B technology marketing, particularly cloud computing or enterprise software
  • Experience with retail, logistics, or supply chain industries
  • Track record of developing successful customer reference programs
  • Experience managing content for large-scale industry events
  • Familiarity with content management systems and digital asset management tools
