What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to the development of mass properties (weight, center of gravity (CG), & inertia) data for new air vehicle development.
  2. Develop, track, and manage mass properties data throughout air vehicle design phases
  3. Participate in defining mass properties related design requirements
  4. Provide vehicle and subsystem configuration trade study guidance
  5. Support vehicle and subsystem level weight and balance control efforts

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Robotics, Physics, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft mass properties or related aerospace design roles.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace principles, vehicle dynamics, and system integration.

Nice to have

  • Proven track record leading aircraft mass properties efforts from early development through flight test and production
  • Experience with aircraft mass properties tools
  • Experience with Formula SAE, Baja SAE, Design Build Fly, or similar competitive engineering programs demonstrating hands-on vehicle integration experience
