Senior Mechanical Engineer role focused on the design, optimization, and strategic development of test facilities and mechanical systems for power systems and drivetrain testing, including ICE, hybrid, and EV technologies. Responsibilities include technical leadership, project delivery, fault finding, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead evaluation, specification, and implementation of advanced powertrain and test cell technologies
  2. Design, develop, and optimise mechanical systems and associated services (cooling, fuel, exhaust, safety etc.)
  3. Provide technical leadership on facility upgrades to support future testing (ICE, hybrid, EV)
  4. Oversee and approve design modifications for facilities, test rigs, and equipment
  5. Lead cross-functional project delivery with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors
