What you'd actually do

  1. Design and develop mechanical systems for novel robotic platforms, ensuring they meet the high-performance requirements of advanced AI research.
  2. Integrate complex thermal management solutions within tight mechanical constraints to ensure system stability and performance.
  3. Prototype concepts to validate designs, utilizing a "fail fast" mentality to iterate on hardware solutions.
  4. Design and manage critical cable routing and connector selection to maintain system integrity and reliability.
  5. Develop and execute rigorous vibration and shock testing protocols (e.g., drop testing) to establish system requirements and protect sensitive internal components.
