What you'd actually do

  1. Ownership of the Open to Buy process for multiple, complex areas; optimize sales and inventory to achieve margin goals in partnership with Buyers
  2. Build plans for vendors by fashion season; identify opportunities and risks within portfolio
  3. Manage replenishment for multiple OTB categories; develop out of box strategies to optimize full price selling and improve profitability
  4. Identify and manage strategic negotiations with key vendor partners to deliver top and bottom line growth
  5. Active participant in organization long term automation goals: identify new tool opportunities and partner with tech to scope and deliver solutions that improve efficiency for buying/planning

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of with Excel experience
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • 5+ years of merchandising or planogram experience

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences
