Boeing is seeking a Senior Mission Assurance and System Safety Engineer for its Vertical Lift division in Ridley Park, PA. What you'd actually do

  1. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to execute Mission Assurance per BPI-6488
  2. Executes the Safety Management System efforts for Vertical Lift per D950-12089-1 ‘Boeing Enterprise Safety Management system Manual’ and D950-1208903 ‘Boeing Defense Space & Security Safety Management Plan’
  3. Supports Safety Board per BPI-6703 ‘System Safety Escalation Process’
  4. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  5. Resolves cross-functional technical issues

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (for Level 4)
  • 5+ years of experience assisting in any of the following engineering areas: analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification or product assurance or any other specialties engineering discipline
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Nice to have

  • 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (for Level 5)
  • 5+ years of experience with system engineering experience producing specifications and products necessary for design and development of complex systems
  • Experience do you have in leading or managing a cross-functional project
