Salesforce is seeking a Senior Onboarding Specialist to welcome new customers post-sale, ensuring a positive initial experience and helping them achieve rapid 'time to value' with Salesforce clouds and products. This role acts as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through onboarding conversations, enabling pre-implementation readiness, and setting the stage for long-term engagement and success. The specialist will become a subject-matter expert for specific Informatica products, deliver virtual engagements, uncover business use cases, tailor onboarding, and build relationships with internal and external partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Onboarding Specialists warmly welcome our newest Salesforce customers post sale before they begin the implementation process.
  2. We ensure a positive initial experience with Salesforce and the achievement of customer business objectives.
  3. This role focuses on helping customers achieve rapid "time to value" while helping them build a strong knowledge foundation for future growth with their chosen Salesforce clouds/products and the broader Salesforce Platform.
  4. We act as the trusted advisor to support customers during the onboarding phase and enable their pre-implementation readiness.
  5. Our team collaborates with internal stakeholders and customers to guide initial onboarding conversations.

  • Relevant 3rd-level degree or equivalent qualification
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience helping customers achieve full business potential through technology
  • Able to work independently as a self-starter

  • Able to apply customer success concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Comfortably navigating conversations with stakeholders at all levels, Administrators to C-suite
  • 7+ years of experience in any of the Informatica platform implementation or solutioning field
  • Ability to discuss customer’s business needs and expected business value across various industries and company sizes
  • Convey ideas and solutions clearly and effectively
  • Ability to hold the attention of and speak to a varied group of stakeholders from Admin to C-suite
  • Experience consulting customers on their business objectives and business strategy
  • Customer-focused approach and engagement style
  • Personable and energetic, able to create rapport with our customers and provide a warm welcome
  • Experience with software solutions and ability to learn new technology fast
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and core programming concepts
  • Solid knowledge of Database or data management applications
  • Strong experience in both the front-end web tier (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS, and cross-browser development) and back-end (Java,.Net, SQL) software development
  • Problem solving skills - thinking on your feet and finding solutions independently or in a group setting
  • Accepting change as a constant and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Nice to have

  • Informatica Certifications: Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Integration
  • Hands-on experience with a Data Management platform suite and associated applications (Informatica preferred)
  • Understanding of Project Management principles to apply
  • Experience with successful software implementation/roll outs, in-depth understanding and the ability to effectively communicate on the topic of developing a successful Implementation Strategy
  • Ability to create and read reports and data
  • Ability to prioritize and perform effectively under pressure
