Senior Onboarding Specialist

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Onboarding Specialist to welcome new Premier customers post-sale, ensuring a positive initial experience and helping them achieve rapid time to value with Salesforce clouds and products. This role focuses on acting as a trusted advisor during the onboarding phase, enabling pre-implementation readiness, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and customers to guide initial conversations. The specialist will become an expert in specific Industry Cloud and Revenue Cloud products, deliver virtual engagements to educate customers, uncover business use cases, provide recommendations, create Success Paths, and build positive relationships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Become a Salesforce subject-matter expert for specific Salesforce Industry Cloud and Revenue Cloud products focusing on accelerating the initial "time to value" for new customers
  2. Be the customer’s first point of contact post-sale and welcome them warmly into the ecosystem
  3. Deliver virtual 1:1 engagements to educate and empower our customers to achieve business value using the Salesforce Customer 360 Suite of Products
  4. Use your consulting skills to uncover initial business use cases and objectives, setting the stage for long-term customer success.
  5. Provide relevant recommendations specific to customers’ business needs

Skills

Required

  • Technical Skillset- 2-3 years of experience in any of the “Industry Cloud” or “Revenue Cloud Advanced”
  • Business Acumen - ability to discuss customer’s business needs and expected business value across various industries and company sizes.
  • Communication Skills - convey ideas and solutions clearly and effectively
  • Presentation Skills - ability to hold the attention of and speak to a varied group of stakeholders from Admin to C-suite
  • Consultative Engagements with Customers - experience consulting customers on their business objectives and business strategy. Customer-focused approach and engagement style.
  • Relationship Builder - personable and energetic, able to create rapport with our customers and provide a warm welcome
  • Technical Acumen - experience with software solutions and ability to learn new technology fast.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and core programming concepts
  • Solid knowledge of XML, preferably experience using server-to-server web services (SOAP)
  • Strong experience in both the front-end web tier (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS, and cross-browser development) and back-end (Java,.Net, SQL) software development
  • Problem solving skills - thinking on your feet and finding solutions independently or in a group setting
  • Organizational Change - accepting change as a constant and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Nice to have

  • Salesforce Certifications - Salesforce Admin, Platform app builder, Advanced Admin and/or Consultant Certifications are an advantage
  • CRM Platforms - Hands-on experience with a CRM platform suite and associated applications (Salesforce preferred)
  • Project management - understanding of Project Management principles to apply
  • Software implementation - experience with successful software implementation/roll outs, in-depth understanding and the ability to effectively communicate on the topic of developing a successful Implementation Strategy
  • Data literacy - ability to create and read reports and data
  • Ability to prioritize and perform effectively under pressure
