What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all delivery station operations
  2. Drives vision for station team and creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the DS to meet and exceed business plan
  3. Problem-solves for closing gaps between performance and goals
  4. Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations, Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments/teams
  5. Manages an environment concerning the delivery of Amazon orders direct to our customers, subject to ever rising volume and complexity, operating on a 24/7 basis

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • Business level (reading, writing, speaking) Japanese or English
  • Conversational English
  • People Management experience
  • Cross-functional project management experience

Nice to have

  • 5+ years' experience managing and improving the flow of human, material, and financial resources using various metrics in Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail industry
  • Understanding of P/L and experience managing cost
  • Management experience (including performance evaluation and development) of 50+ members
  • Management of multiple part-timers during peak seasons
  • Experience in leading customer-facing business unit focused on delivering excellent customer experience
  • Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture.
  • Available to working weekends and night Degrees in Engineering, Business, or other related fields or MBA
  • Ability to prioritize in ever changing environment, good judgement
  • Bilingual speaking Japanese and English
