Senior Operations Manager for Lime's New York City market, responsible for operational performance, profitability, growth, and execution. This role involves leading warehouse and field operations, compliance, fleet performance, workforce planning, and people leadership. The manager will work hands-on to identify and implement operational solutions, partner with cross-functional teams (Government Relations, Central Operations, Product, Finance, Facilities, Safety), and represent Lime to external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include owning market operations, managing warehouse excellence, acting as an operational expert, conducting analysis, defining strategy, developing talent, spearheading safety initiatives, and creating a positive workplace.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and manage a large and/or complex market or regional operations team ensuring your market hits operating metrics and consistently meets or exceeds defined KPIs
  2. Manage warehouse operations ensuring operational excellence and compliance in collaboration with our Facilities and Environment Health & Safety teams
  3. Be the operational expert within your region, championing operational excellence, owning end-to-end operational improvements, advising cross-functional teams and engaging in strategic discussions with key external stakeholders including city officials
  4. Conduct regular analysis on your region identifying trends and implementing recommendations to grow and optimize.
  5. Define and implement an operations strategy for your region that advance the deployment and operation of our vehicles including workforce planning, P&L Management, request for proposal (RFP) prep and competitor monitoring

Skills

Required

  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • 5+ years of work experience in operations, consulting, engineering, or similar fields
  • Demonstrated background in driving and executing operational excellence
  • Experienced in managing a P&L
  • Ability to understand metrics and KPIs and the levers to pull to drive results
  • Strong knowledge of the location in which you support
  • Comfortability working in a warehouse setting
  • 3+ years people management experience attracting, developing and motivating warehouse staff
  • Tenacious and willingness to roll up your sleeves, and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
  • Analytically minded with a strong understanding of real-time marketplaces (supply and demand economics) and the ability to navigate, decode, and use data to build compelling narratives and reports.
  • Problem solver skilled at identifying and resolving complex problems, exercising good judgment in drawing conclusions, navigating ambiguous environments while working cross functionally
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to present to senior level stakeholders utilizing data that effectively communicates short and long strategic operations solutions
  • Relentlessly curious, always wanting to dig deeper and understand why, particularly to understand what our customers need
  • Detail oriented with a focus on process improvement, self motivated and energetic, with the drive and ability to learn new skills and grow with the role
