Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Senior PCB Designer, Power Electronics. The role involves designing printed circuit boards for defense products, applying modern design standards, and leading the team in establishing internal guidelines for DFM and quality fabrication. Responsibilities include implementing high-speed digital, analog, RF, and high-power designs, developing component libraries, and addressing critical power electronics layout challenges like high current routing, thermal management, and EMI/EMC mitigation. What you'd actually do

  1. Work directly with engineers to produce printed circuit board designs supporting all Anduril’s products
  2. Apply modern design standards and guidelines to create high-reliability, highly manufacturable assemblies
  3. Implement combinations of high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power designs
  4. Lead the team in establishing internal guidelines for design for manufacturing (DFM) and quality fabrication and assembly outputs
  5. Develop and refine team processes for PCB design, part creation, and library/database standards

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of professional experience in PCB Layout or Design
  • Full understanding of PCB Layout techniques to meet mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices appropriate for each design
  • Ability to determine work priorities based on broad direction from management
  • Expertise in applying relevant IPC standards, CID, CID+ certification
  • Experience using Altium Designer CAD tools
  • Experience with developing component libraries and library management
  • Proven experience in PCB layout for power electronics applications such as buck converters, DC-DC power supplies, or motor control systems.
  • Expertise in addressing critical power electronics layout challenges, including high current routing, thermal management, and EMI/EMC mitigation.
  • Deep understanding of power integrity techniques, including optimized power plane design, heavy copper layouts, and adherence to creepage/clearance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work within our company and team culture.
