Senior Pcb Layout Designer, Intelligence Systems

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Reston, VA · AFS : Intelligence Systems Engineering : Software - Intelligence Systems

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Senior PCB Layout Designer to join their Intelligence Systems team. The role involves full-cycle PCB design, including requirements gathering, schematic design, component selection, layout, bring-up, test, and integration. Responsibilities include creating high-reliability, manufacturable assemblies, implementing high-speed digital, analog, RF, and high-power designs, and establishing internal design guidelines. The position requires a Secret security clearance, an Associate's degree in electrical engineering or similar, 5+ years of PCB layout experience, and expertise in Altium Designer, IPC standards, and various board types. Experience with high-speed digital interfaces, controlled impedance routing, and dense packages is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work directly with engineers to produce printed circuit board designs supporting Anduril’s products
  2. Apply modern design standards and guidelines to create high-reliability, highly manufacturable assemblies
  3. Implement combinations of high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power designs
  4. Assist the team in establishing internal guidelines for design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and overall quality fabrication and assembly outputs
  5. Aid and refine team processes for PCB design, part creation, and library/database standards
