This role is for a Senior Portfolio Manager at Autodesk, focusing on managing a portion of the platform portfolio which includes AI-driven capabilities, data, and developer platforms. The primary responsibility is to translate complex execution into clear context for leadership to make high-stakes decisions, ensuring investments align with strategy and business outcomes. The role involves using internal AI tools to automate workflows and generate insights, and understanding how AI can fundamentally change portfolio management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support leaders to make high-stakes decisions: Frame the context for tradeoff decisions and make the tradeoffs explicit, even when the implications are uncomfortable
  2. Check reality: Get to the truth of progress hiding behind status reports; identify where execution is drifting from strategy before it becomes a crisis
  3. Surface the right signals: Be accountable for building and improving the tools and workflows needed to get the truth in front of leaders at the right time
  4. Protect the investments: Apply financial and strategic context to connect portfolio decisions to long-term viability and innovation, not just short-term status
  5. AI-enabled execution: Use internal AI tools to automate portfolio workflows, generate insights, and connect data across systems as a core part of how the work gets done
