What you'd actually do

  1. The Senior Principal Contract Administrator will support contractual activity within the Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity (NIC) Division under the Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS) Business Unit for the Navigator Operation Unit reporting to the Contracts Manager of the Navigator Operating Unit.
  2. The Senior Principal Contracts Administrator will participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  3. As primary interface with customer, the Contracts Administrator will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.
  4. Reviewing terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
  5. Under general supervision, developing solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Government Contracts or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience in Government Contracts Administration/Management
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS and International Non-US Government contracting
  • Experience working with various contract types such as Time & Material, Cost types, Firm Fixed Price, Other Transactions, etc.
  • Experience working with proposal development and negotiations
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance is required

  • Experience in U.S. Government Department of Defense contract administration & Non-US Government contracting management
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) / Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR)
  • Experience working independently and collaborating with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Experience briefing internal and external customers
  • Experience with the SAP Sales & Distribution Module
  • Experience in ITAR Export knowledge
  • A current/active US Government Secret Clearance
