This role focuses on developing data architectures and predictive models for Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) initiatives on the Sentinel Weapon System. The Senior Principal Data Scientist will create statistical, ML, and physics-based models to forecast Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of components, establish modeling standards, and collaborate on data architecture for the weapon system. Experience with cloud-based data architectures, data pipelines, Python/SQL, and designing predictive models is required, with a preference for experience in predictive maintenance, PHM, RCM, and deploying ML/AI solutions in production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop data architectures in support of predictive modeling for a large-scale WS designed to be operational for multiple generations.
  2. Create statistical, ML, and physics-based predictive models that forecast the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of Line Replaceable Units (LRU) identified in CBM+ trade studies.
  3. Establish templates and standards for modeling and tracking CBM+ items and processes.
  4. Collaborate with both NG and customer data scientists to define a data architecture for the WS; ensure the CBM+ tech stack remains aligned with wider architecture tools and plans.
  5. Engage directly with the customer in support of evolving program requirements.
