Senior Principal Electrical Engineer responsible for managing and maintaining program budget and schedule, coordinating with stakeholders, and leading the hardware team in design, development, production, and sustaining activities for aerospace and defense products. Requires a U.S. security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the Hardware team interfacing directly with the Chief Engineers, Program Managers and other CPTL’s to prioritize tasks, define scope and ensure technical goals are achieved.
  2. Take ownership of technical project execution through Design & Development activities into Production.
  3. Present project status to multiple levels of Leadership and the customer.
  4. Work as part of a cohesive team with Test Engineering, Product Engineering, System Engineering, Software Engineering, Program Management and Operations.
  5. Maintain and oversee Earned Value Management (EVM) as a Cost Account Manager (CAM).

Skills

Required

  • Agile EVMS/CAM experience
  • Systems/Hardware Requirement/artifact breakdown experience
  • Technical Expertise in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Nice to have

  • Active DoD security clearance
  • Previous professional experience using Agile (Jira)
  • Previous professional experience using Windchill Common Product Data Management (PDM)
  • Previous professional experience using Electrical Product development
  • Previous professional experience using 2D and 3D mechanical drawing tools (Creo Parametric)
