This role is for a Senior Principal Energy Program Manager at Oracle, focused on energy procurement and strategy for Oracle's data centers, including those supporting AI workloads. The primary responsibility is to ensure sustainable and scalable energy procurement, negotiate power agreements, and manage energy strategy across various markets. While the role supports AI data centers, it is not directly involved in building or researching AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Source and negotiate strategic power agreements with utility providers and independent power providers, ensuring the best possible outcome for Oracle.
  2. Responsible for day-to-day management of Oracle Cloud’s data center energy strategy across specific markets – with near term priority in U.S. deregulated markets but possible oversight in North and South America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.
  3. Create and manage requirements around energy sourcing including leveraging expertise of regulated and deregulated power markets, financial modeling and analysis, managing RFPs, contract negotiations, development and execution of forward purchasing strategies, collection and preparation of high-quality data.
  4. Work closely with retail energy providers, energy suppliers, and internal stakeholders to monitor real-time market conditions that will information short-term and long-term transaction decisions.
  5. Engage with energy and sustainability consultant(s) to evolve strategy and reporting.
