Senior Principal Engineer Systems Architect at Northrop Grumman, Melbourne, FL. What you'd actually do

  1. Work with the cross-functional teams to create conceptual data models and data flows
  2. Design, develop, and document systems that contain logical solutions using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  3. Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility
  4. Implement data strategies and developing physical data models
  5. Coach team members on developing the requirements, architecture, design, and implementation in the model
  6. Perform Systems Requirements analysis
  7. Management of requirements, include decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 year of related professional/military experience
  • experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering
  • experience modeling software systems and software system of systems
  • experience with Systems engineering tools (i.e. Cameo Suite) and Agile framework
  • active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance
  • ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance
  • ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Nice to have

  • Modeling and Simulation
  • Applied knowledge of aircraft design
  • Experience in the military aerospace development environment
  • Experience in integrating complex system across multiple domains
  • Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers
