Senior Principal Patriot Execution Chief Engineer (onsite)

This role is for a Senior Principal Patriot Execution Chief Engineer in the defense industry, focusing on Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) for the Patriot Product Line. The position involves providing structured execution leadership, ensuring technical integrity, managing program scope, cost, schedule, and technical requirements, and fostering disciplined engineering practices. Responsibilities include system analysis, requirements development, hardware/software design, integration, testing, and sustainment plans. A U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the PPL BMC4I IPT CE in their responsibilities as owner of technical execution of program scope.
  2. Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the Integrated Product Team (IPT) within the Program cost, schedule, technical requirements.
  3. Establish and maintain a consistent engineering execution rhythm, driving alignment, prioritization, and timely closure across Sub IPTs.
  4. Promote disciplined engineering practices and continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, clarity, and consistency.
  5. Foster a collaborative engineering culture by mentoring technical leaders and subject matter experts, strengthening structured problem solving and communication across disciplines.

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree
  • 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • System design, development, integration/verification, production, and/or sustainment within Defense industry
  • Product development, customer interface, and/or contract capture in the Defense Industry
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in Patriot Program (or other radar program) system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment
  • Experience with International FMS/DCS programs and International Supplier’s/Partner’s engineering execution
  • Experience leading execution across complex, multi discipline engineering efforts with significant dependencies and competing priorities
  • Experience in concepts of operations development and/or design of system level architecture
  • Experience in design of system level architecture
  • Experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management
  • Raytheon Chief Engineer Leveled
  • Existing Secret Clearance (DoD)
