What you'd actually do

  1. Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for database security capabilities, including secure connectivity, authentication, and cryptographic features
  2. Partner closely with engineering to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, and deliver high-quality, secure features
  3. Translate customer, regulatory, and operational security needs into clear product requirements
  4. Drive alignment across stakeholders including security, cloud infrastructure, compliance, and customer-facing teams
  5. Ensure products meet enterprise security expectations and compliance requirements (e.g., FIPS-related considerations)

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a working DBA
  • Strong understanding of database fundamentals, operations, and real-world customer environments
  • Working knowledge of TLS/SSL, common cryptographic algorithms, and FIPS concepts/compliance
  • Solid understanding of enterprise authentication and authorization concepts, including Kerberos, PKI/certificates, and RADIUS
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong product thinking with the ability to prioritize and execute in a complex, highly technical space

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with modern cloud identity and authentication patterns, such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
  • Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID or similar)
  • Background working with security, compliance, or infrastructure-focused products
  • Experience supporting both on-prem and cloud-based enterprise customers
