This role focuses on global site selection for data centers, involving market research, negotiation of commercial terms and lease agreements, and collaboration with various internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in data center contracts and real estate development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be accountable for lease execution from demand signal through to ‘general availability’ date – driving each performance metric (safety, quality, rates, schedule, cost, etc.) within critical timelines required by the business.
  2. Manage multiple lease projects and coordinate with internal team members, consultants, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  3. Work with capacity (demand) planners and network specialists to understand capacity needs and site requirements in assigned metros/regions.
  4. Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, select, negotiate, and recommend leases for approval.
  5. Develop high-quality metro strategies based on market expertise, within the context of time-to-market and cost efficiencies required by the business units.
