This role is for a Senior and Principal Technical Program Manager within Microsoft's Cloud & AI organization, focusing on managing cybersecurity initiatives and operations. The TPM will be responsible for program management of multiple engagements, delivering status reports, coordinating resources, and ensuring team goals are met during security crises. Key aspects include producing repeatable processes, supporting feature requests for development groups, and maintaining a high-level understanding of security tools and processes. The role requires strong project management skills, the ability to work independently in ambiguous situations, and experience managing cross-functional projects. While within the Cloud & AI organization, the core function is program management for cybersecurity, not direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Program management of multiple simultaneous engagements, delivering status reports to managers, coordinating customer and team resources needed to respond
  2. Support of customer and internal needs (both pre- and post-onsite deployment), clearly communicating objectives and guidance to stakeholders
  3. Provide comprehensive project summaries for process improvement, post incident reporting, and ensuring that feedback and data collected for each escalation or incident
  4. Produce repeatable processes and instruct teams on these processes
  5. Support logistics, triage, and prioritization of feature requests for the development group

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of experience with cybersecurity and/or security operations.
