Senior Product Definition Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Product Definition Engineer to productize the company's chips across various markets, including consumer, professional, server, mobile, and automotive. The role involves evaluating performance, power, yield, and quality optimizations for GPUs and SOCs, identifying constraints, driving product customizations, and collaborating with multi-functional teams to bring industry-defining products to market. Experience in product performance and power evaluations, system-level features, silicon bringup, and validation is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand product performance and power targets, trade-off features/configurations, and provide innovative solutions to sophisticated silicon and system-level problems.
  2. Evaluate Performance, power, yield, and quality optimizations for the world’s fastest power-shipping products in the GPU and SOC market segments spanning gaming, automotive, datacenter, and DL/AI.
  3. Identify performance and power-limiting constraints and drive product-specific customizations.
  4. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive silicon and system product features to production.
  5. Lead the teams to implementing efficient time-to-market strategies.

Skills

Required

  • BS or MS in EE, CE, CS, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in product performance and power evaluations.
  • Experience with system-level features, product binning methods, optimization techniques, methods, and data analysis and statistics tools.
  • Background in critical path analysis, power/performance analysis, process technologies, and transistor/device physics.
  • Experience with silicon bringup and validation, frequency and power characterization, product analysis, and optimization.
  • Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, computer architecture, and CPU/GPU/SOC architecture.

Nice to have

  • Strong collaborative and communication skills, specifically a demonstrated ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic environment
  • A background in gaming, automotive, and data center market segments is a plus.
