Senior Product Designer focused on visual and aesthetic aspects, responsible for evolving Klaviyo's Design Language, ensuring brand expression, and creating best-in-class visual design. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to push user experience forward, documenting and evangelizing the design system, and transforming workflows by integrating AI to build smarter systems. Requires experience in designing and building design systems at scale, understanding of WCAG standards, and excitement for exploring AI tools and workflows responsibly.

What you'd actually do

  1. Transform workflows by putting AI at the center, building smarter systems and ways of working from the ground up.
  2. Design visual experiences that unify and exemplify the design language.
  3. Document, maintain, and evangelize the benefits of the Klaviyo Design System both internally and externally
  4. You’ll work with a team of dedicated engineers, product designers, brand designers, and cross-functional partners to push Klaviyo’s user experience forward while adhering to the highest standards.
  5. Be the ambassador of the new design system and drive adoption by communicating strategy, plans, and milestones across the organization

Skills

Required

  • Product design experience with an accompanying portfolio.
  • Experience designing and building durable design systems at scale within a large product organization.
  • Documentation of guidelines, standards, patterns, best practices and have an understanding of WCAG standards.
  • Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces
  • Strong understanding of design principles and user experience best practices
  • You’ve already experimented with AI in work or personal projects, and you’re excited to dive in and learn fast. You’re hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows, finding ways to make your work smarter and more efficient.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail when exploring solutions at a systematic level and a component level
  • Strong visual design sense and appreciation for getting the details right
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers and designers to ship new features and components
