Senior Product Manager, Alexa UK and Ireland

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · London, United Kingdom · Project/Program/Product Management--Non-Tech

Senior Product Manager for Alexa, focusing on localizing its personality for UK and Ireland customers using generative AI and prompt engineering tools. The role involves shaping conversational behavior, adapting personality frameworks, prototyping, experimenting, and defining quality/safety frameworks, but not writing production code.

What you'd actually do

  1. Localise Alexa’s personality for UK and Ireland customers — shaping conversational behaviour, tone, manner, and relatability using AI-based prompting tools and deep cultural understanding
  2. Adapt global Personality Style frameworks to local preferences, ensuring cultural and contextual relevance across all customer touchpoints
  3. Prototype and experiment — get hands-on with prompt tools, create examples, run A/B tests, and iterate rapidly based on results
  4. Ensure consistency of personality and tone across verticals and experiences
  5. Define quality and safety frameworks for automation, including guardrails, scenario coverage, validation, and regression strategies as we scale

What the JD emphasized

  • This is not a developer role — you won’t be writing production code.
  • This is not a traditional roadmap-and-backlog PM role — you’ll be much more hands-on with the product itself.
