Product Manager to lead consumer-facing AI initiatives within Quora's core product experience, focused on creating and scaling high-quality AI-powered content experiences and driving meaningful engagement. Responsibilities include defining strategic direction, aligning cross-functional teams, executing quickly through experimentation, and generating insights that inform future AI investments and long-term platform strategy.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the end-to-end strategy for consumer-facing AI initiatives, including defining content quality standards, establishing evaluation frameworks, and driving responsible rollout and scale
  2. Manage ambiguity, complexity, and cross-functional interdependencies in a fast-paced environment, doing what it takes to make the product successful
  3. Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and product operations to define, build, iterate, and scale AI-powered experiences
  4. Define objectives, metrics, and guardrails (engagement, quality, trust) to guide prioritization and measure success
  5. Run structured experimentation to optimize feed allocation and performance, using quantitative and qualitative insights to inform product strategy
  6. Stay current with advances in Generative AI to continuously improve product capabilities and long-term roadmap direction

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years combined experience in Product Management
  • Excellent communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions and scale products through experimentation
  • Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's “coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)

Nice to have

  • Experience working on user-generated content (UGC) platforms, marketplaces, aggregators, or content-driven consumer products
  • Experience with AI-powered content creation or AI-driven content experiences.
  • A passion for AI and emerging technologies
  • BA/BS degree in Statistics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience ideal
  • 2+ years of Data Science or Data Analytics experience before Product Management experience
