Senior Product Manager

ClickUp ClickUp · Enterprise · United States · Product

Senior Product Manager role at ClickUp, a company building an AI-powered workspace. The role focuses on owning product surfaces, running discovery using AI agents, writing PRDs, defining and tracking metrics, prototyping with AI tools, and collaborating cross-functionally. The candidate is expected to be hands-on with AI tools for drafting, prototyping, and QA.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery for a defined product surface, balancing near-term wins with longer-horizon investments.
  2. Run continuous discovery. Building and using agents to monitor and synthesize that part of your job.
  3. Write sharp PRDs and specs that give engineering and design what they need to move fast without ambiguity.
  4. Define success metrics before you build, track them after you ship, and iterate when outcomes do not match expectations.
  5. Prototype your own ideas using Cursor, Claude Code, and our Prototype Playground. Show the concept before filing the ticket.

Skills

Required

  • 5 or more years in product management with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a product area in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of shipping. You have taken features from concept through launch and iterated based on data.
  • Strong prioritization instincts. You know how to say no and can defend it.
  • High customer empathy and the ability to separate what users say from what they actually need.
  • Comfortable with data. You define your own metrics, query dashboards, and make arguments from numbers.
  • Clear written and verbal communicator. Your specs and strategy docs create alignment without requiring a follow-up meeting.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace. You do not wait to be told what to do.
  • Hands-on with AI tools. You already use them and are always looking for new ways to get more out of them.

Nice to have

  • Generate artifacts that accelerate alignment. Leverage AI to draft PRDs, map user flows, validate product launch readiness, synthesize research and customer feedback, produce competitive analyses, and write release notes.
  • QA your own work. Use browser automation tools to test flows, verify edge cases, and confirm what shipped matches what was specced.
  • Stay current and apply it. Familiarity with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Figma AI, and MCP integrations is expected. Actively experiment and fold new capabilities into your workflow.

What the JD emphasized

  • AI has collapsed the work that used to sit between an idea and a working version of it, and for the first time, PMs can be true builders.
  • The PMs who win in this era do not manage the work. They build the product, every day, with their own hands.
  • You prototype in Cursor and Claude when an idea is faster shown than written.
  • Hands-on with AI tools. You already use them and are always looking for new ways to get more out of them.
  • Prototype and iterate with AI coding tools. Build functional prototypes independently of design and engineering using tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
