Senior Product Manager, Life Insurance & Financial Protection

SoFi SoFi · Fintech · San Francisco, CA · Product Management

Senior Product Manager at SoFi to lead the Life Insurance roadmap, integrating it into lending and banking ecosystems. The role focuses on optimizing the end-to-end quote-to-purchase journey, streamlining the application experience with data scientists and third-party APIs, running a rapid experimentation roadmap, managing carrier partner integrations, building product-led growth features, and innovating with AI for a seamless member experience. Requires 5-8 years of Product Management experience in InsurTech or FinTech, with strong data and AI fluency, and familiarity with financial regulations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the end-to-end "Quote-to-Purchase" Life Insurance journey and connect this benefit to the holistic SoFi “get your money right” mission.
  2. Work with data scientists to determine how to streamline the application experience. If we can get a data point from a third-party API (like MVR or Rx history) instead of asking the user, you make that happen.
  3. Run a high-velocity testing roadmap. You’ll test everything from "Life Milestones" UI components to different sequencing of application questions to drive the highest completion rate.
  4. Manage the technical and business relationships with our carrier partners, to ensure that our API integrations are robust, low-latency, and highly scalable.
  5. Build "viral loops" and referral mechanics. How do we drive awareness and adoption through the financial services productivity loop?
