Senior Product Manager, New Initiatives, Google Labs

Google Google · Big Tech · Mountain View, CA +2

Senior Product Manager for a new Google initiative focused on integrating trusted sources into Google's AI experiences (Gemini, AI Mode, etc.). The role involves defining product strategy, roadmapping, and driving the technical implementation and architecture of systems for 'liquid content' ingestion and integration, translating ML/LLM patterns into requirements, and coordinating across various teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and execute the product goal and comprehensive roadmap for Expert Intelligence across NotebookLM, Gemini, AIM, and Deep Research.
  2. Collaborate deeply with engineering to design, implement, and optimize the underlying engineering systems and infrastructure needed to support "liquid content" ingestion and integration.
  3. Drive operational excellence and establish development and tracking processes to ensure seamless execution across multiple cross-product teams.
  4. Translate complex machine learning and LLM patterns—such as citation integrity, grounding, and agentic applications—into scalable technical requirements.
  5. Coordinate with Partnerships, Legal, Marketing, and Engineering to address partner data protection, intellectual property, and analytics requirements within the system architecture.

Skills

Required

  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical engineering experience.
  • Experience leading complex, highly technical product management initiatives.
  • Experience working with AI/ML systems or large language models, including technical aspects like data pipelines, grounding, and citation structures.
  • Experience with media, content and rights management.
  • Strong process-design mindset, with the ability to formalize and scale project workflows across large engineering organizations.
  • Demonstrated technical capability to actively participate in and contribute to the implementation and architecture of engineering systems.
